The woman behind the lens

Professional photographer, Kellie Extance, started her career in the corporate world, working mainly in Auckland and Australia. A stint in the travel industry provided opportunities for Kellie to visit many countries and experience diverse cultures.

Through the camera lens and capturing different faces and places showed Kellie another way of seeing the world.

“The camera allows me freedom to discover and present the differences in the characters of people, what they may do, our urban creations and natural landscapes.”

Now a full-time photographer based in Whangarei, Kellie is building a strong portfolio of studio and location work, providing images to clients in Whangarei and the Northland region, mainly working in commercial photography and portraiture.

Kellie’s love of people, the great outdoors and her life experience gives her the ability to relate well to both adults and children. Her genuine interest in people and her natural warmth puts people at ease.

When she is not working on property and commercial projects or portrait photography, Kellie likes to indulge her artistic side. “I love looking for new ways to capture the streetscapes and the land that we move through without seeing every day, so that we might stop and look at the world in a different light.”
